Esteemed Cropoint users,
your Cropoint registration enables collecting, storing and processing your personal data.
Data processing is managed by the Central State Office for Croats Abroad (the Office).
Cropoint implies two forms of data collection about you as either a natural or legal person:
- Data entered during the registration process
- Cropoint user record (the data you enter, edit and/or keep after the registration process and application login)
Please, read the terms under which the Office collects, stores and processes your personal data carefully. The aforementioned are in accordance with:
REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL
of April 27, 2016
on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)
especially article 13 of the Regulation, for the purpose of providing you, as Cropoint users in the capacity of examinees, with the following information:
- Processing manager: The Central State Office for Croats Abroad.
- Data protection official: kabinet@hrvatiizvanrh.hr
- The purpose of processing for which personal data is being used is determined by the Law of relations of the Republic of Croatia with Croats abroad.
- Legal basis for the processing: examinee consent which can be withdrawn anytime and is in relation with the official powers of the Office stated in the Law of relations of the Republic of Croatia with Croats abroad.
- Examinee category: individuals signed into Cropoint.
- Recipients or categories of personal data recipients: Cropoint search is available only to registered users and the examinee decides on the extent of personal data available to others by selecting the data they agree to show (opt-in approach).
- The processing manager does not intend to transfer personal data to a third country or international organization.
- Personal data retention period: stored permanently in Cropoint with the option for examinees (Cropoint users) to temporarily deactivate (make unavailable) records they own (Cropoint data and user profile) at all times (‘right to be forgotten’, article 17 of the Regulation).
- Examinees (Cropoint users) have the right to access their personal data, edit, delete and limit personal data processing as well as the right to transfer them. User profile information is not public. Fields containing personal data in Cropoint are not visible to unregistered users.
- In case examinees (Cropoint users) wish to deactivate or delete their personal data from Cropoint, but are unable to do so themselves, they have the right to submit an official request to the processing manager (the Office) at all times.
- Examinees (Cropoint users) have the right to file a complaint to the supervisory body Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency.
- Cropoint registration and login are entirely voluntary, and examinees (Cropoint users) agree with the read terms of access twice.
- Examinee (Cropoint user) user profiles, containing data that enables processing (e.g. user name, e-mail address, user’s role etc.), are automatically created by registration. This data will not be published or transferred to third parties.
By clicking on the „X“ button while registering, you are canceling the registration process and none of your personal data (including the IP address you accessed Cropoint from) will be stored in Cropoint’s database or published anywhere else.
By clicking on the „ I confirm that I have read and that I agree with the terms of access to Cropoint“ button, personal data entry will be enabled. The data will not be published.
Personal information collected by filling out mandatory fields in Cropoint:
- First and last name (nickname)
- Country
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Natural or legal person
After successful registration, users will be provided with the possibility of editing profile settings by clicking on “Settings” on the left at the bottom of the screen. Among a variety of options, users will be able to edit personal data by clicking on “Edit personal data”. All changes made by the user are saved by clicking the „SAVE“ button.

The Office guarantees to use data collected in Cropoint only for purposes described in the form. In accordance with the Privacy policy, the Office will not publish or transfer personal data to third parties without the consent of Cropoint users. In case of third party (natural or legal person) interest in connection and cooperation, the decision on establishing contact will remain with selected Cropoint users.
The Office does not take responsibility for the accuracy and authenticity of Cropoint user entries. The administrators will occasionally check the content of Cropoint, including inappropriate content and malicious use reports. Any inappropriate content, false entries or hate speech will be removed and every malevolent user blocked.
